We have always prided ourselves on sourcing high quality materials and Equus rubber is no different. Using the best UK-sourced rubber compound our rein grips are flexible, durable, and suitable for all climate conditions.
Then again, it’s no good coming from us! That’s why we sent our rein grips and a competitors rein grips to a Lincolnshire-based racehorse trainer Nick Kent for the ultimate test. 6 months on a busy racing yard.
Hello everyone! This month I have been back at the Saddlery Training Centre in Salisbury, working on my Level 3 saddle again. After a minor miscommunication we thought we had no flap butt (thicker leather used to make the saddle flaps and skirts) to make our saddle tops but were instead offered the clever alternative of covering thinner leather with panel hide - a much preferred option as not only does it teach us a new skill it also looks a lot more luxurious on the finished project... I got as far as seaming my seat this time, hopefully complete the saddle top next time!
